Junior infielder Elizabeth Preston of Austin College had a huge weekend at the plate in a four-game series at Millsaps, batting .583 with three doubles, three RBI, and six runs scored. Preston added a .571 on-base percentage and a .833 slugging percentage. In addition, Preston stole two bases. Junior outfielder Mackenzie Cox of Centenary went 4-8 (.500) in a season-opening DH at home versus Texas A&M-Texarkana on Sunday for the Ladies with three RBI, a run scored, and a stolen base. Junior infielder Marina Delaluna of Trinity hit .375 (6-for-16) with a home run, adding four runs scored and three RBI as Trinity opened the season 0-4 against McMurry and Hardin-Simmons.
