JACKIE MORA OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a first-year from Brownsville, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women’s Track Athlete of the Week for meets held from Monday, April 12 through Sunday, April 18.
Mora bested the competition in the 400 meters at the largely Division II Cactus Cup at Texas A&M-Kingsville. The windy, rainy day wasn't great for times, but she managed the win in 1:00.52.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
First year Cassandra Williams of Trinity made her sprint debut at the Texas A&M-Kingsville Cactus Cup. She ran the 200 meters in 27.39 and the 400 meters in 62.57. These marks placed her third and second at the meet.
