Wyatt Wilson, Texas Lutheran University, Men's Track Athlete of the Week (Week 2)

WYATT WILSON OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a junior from New Braunfels, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Men’s Track Athlete of the Week for meets held from Monday, March 4 through Sunday, March 10. SCAC Track & Field Weekly Release - Week 2

Wilson now leads the conference in the 100 and the 200 meters after competing at the UTA Invitational this weekend. His time of 10.69 finished 11th, but was the ninth best collegiate and the top D3 finisher. Wyatt's time of 21.55 finished seventh, but was the fifth best collegiate time and the top D3 time. His 100 meter time sits third on the NCAA list and his 200 meter time sits second on the NCAA National list. 

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior Bryce McIntyre of St. Thomas ran 10.98 in the 100 meters to finish as the top Celt at the McNeese Cowboy Relays - a time that currently places him second in the conference. He was also part the 4x100m relay that would take fourth overall at the meet and ranks 12th nationally. Senior James Settles of Colorado College won the 5K at the Oxy Distance Classic with a school-record time of 14:07.78, the fastest 5K in Division III this spring.
