Wilson was a major reason for the Bulldogs beating not one but two scholarship programs last weekend as TLU is off to its best start in the program's D3 history. Wilson recorded her first career double-double with a career-high 19 points and 10 rebounds in the Bulldogs upset of D2 St. Edward's - the first win over St. Ed's or any D2 program since becoming an NCAA program in 2000-01. For the week, Wilson averaged 12.5 points on a blistering 62.5 percent shooting, grabbed 6.5 rebounds, dished out 1.5 steals, swiped 1.5 steals and blocked 1.0 shots per contest.
Junior center Zoe Tomlinson of Colorado College led the Tigers with season-highs of 17 points and 16 rebounds in CC's 80-54 loss at No. 2 NYU on Sunday. She shot 53.3 percent from the field and added three steals and three blocked shots. Sophomore forward Tessa Hastings of Dallas led the Crusaders to a 3-1 mark last week with wins over Hendrix, McMurry and Belhaven. Hastings averaged 13.8 points per game, including putting together back-to-back 20-plus points scored in consecutive games for the first time in her career scoring 22 and 25 in wins over McMurry and Belhaven. Junior guard Ravyn Ellis of St. Thomas averaged 10.3 points per game in three contests last week for the Celts. Ellis also added 4.7 rebounds, 2.0 steals, 1.3 blocks and 1.0 assists per contest last week as well. Junior guard Josie Napoli of Trinity led the Tigers to a pair of non-conference wins last week beating Claremont-M-S and Cal Lutheran by a combined 38 points. Napoli averaged 16.0 points on 52.6 percent shooting including a season-high 23 points in the win over Cal Lutheran. She also added 3.0 steals, 2.5 assists and 1.5 rebounds per game to help lift Trinity to a perfect 4-0 start for the second-straight season.
