TOBEY WILLS OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a freshman from Richmond, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Men’s Golfer-of-the-Week for competition played from Wednesday, September 22 through Tuesday, September 28. SCAC Golf Release (Week 2)
Wills posted a top-ten finish for the second time in three fall tournaments as he led the Bulldogs to a fourth-place team finish at the UMHB Invitational at Sammons Park in Temple, Texas. After a third-place finish in the Pine Dunes Invitational to start the fall season, Wills posted a 1-over total of 141 to finish tied for sixth after closing with a 70 on Tuesday.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior Richard Polan of Centenary was the Gents' top finisher at the UMHB Invitational as he shot a final-round 3-over par 73 to tie for 16th place. Polan shot a 2-over 72 in Monday's opening round, and has now earned a top-20 finish in seven-straight tournaments.
