SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Top-seeded Texas Lutheran won its second elimination game of the day as the Bulldogs ran away from fourth-seeded Centenary, 8-0 in six innings on Saturday night at the 2023 SCAC Softball Championship. HOW IT HAPPENED
- Texas Lutheran jumped out to a 3-0 lead through three innings thanks to Hudgeons' two-run single as well as Johnson's RBI single to right center.
- The Bulldogs pushed the lead to 5-0 in the fourth on Linzee Leal's double to left and a wild pitch that scored a run.
- Riley Futrell scored on a throwing error in the fifth to make it 6-0.
- Texas Lutheran then secured the run-rule victory in the bottom of the sixth on Johnson's triple down the right field line and a single up the middle from Serena Gonzalez.
