SUWANEE, Ga. -- Texas Lutheran University senior placekicker Joaquin Rodriguez was named to the D3Football.com Team of the Week for week 10 of the 2024 season.
Rodriguez was a perfect 3-for-3 in field goals, hitting from 35, 43, and 32 yards, in addition to nailing five extra points to account for 14 points on Saturday in TLU's 46-23 win over Centenary.
Earlier this week, Rodriguez was also named SCAC Special Teams Player of the Week.
The Team of the Week is D3football.com's weekly honor roll, in its 26th season of recognizing the top performance at each position from the previous week. Players are selected from nominations from their school's sports information directors.
Rodriguez, who earned national recognition landing on the team back in October, is the second SCAC football athlete to appear on multiple national team of the week squads this season. He join Centenary’s Jacob Wilson who was selected in both week one and week seven. His selection marks the 11th total national honor for an SCAC athlete this year, the most for the conference since the league landed 12 in 2014.
