BLADE STRZELCZYK OF TEXAS LUTHERAN, a senior pitcher from San Antonio, Texas, has been named the SCAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week for games played from Monday, March 27 through Sunday, April 2. SCAC Baseball Release - Week 8
Strzelczyk was outstanding in his first ever start, leading the Bulldogs to victory over St. Thomas. The senior tossed eight full innings, allowing just one unearned run and scattering three hits, while striking out eight.

Freshman right-handed pitcher Dominic Gill of Dallas was outstanding last weekend in a win over Austin College. Gill scattered six hits over eight innings of work without allowing a single run and striking out seven. Senior pitcher Trey Dees of Southwestern got his first win of the season last week for the Pirates against former SCAC foe, DePauw. Dees allowed three hits in 5.0 innings of work without allowing a single run. In addition, he struck out four batters and finished with a 0.00 ERA. Junior right-handed pitcher Joseph Chavana of Trinity held a 0.00 ERA in his appearance for the Tigers last weekend, recording six strikeouts in 6.0 innings and allowing no runs on two hits.
