Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
First-year Rachel Bell of Trinity made her collegiate debut at the Trinity Invitational over the weekend, picking up three top-15 finishes among competition across all NCAA divisions. She finished 14th with a 10.41 meter throw in the shot put, but was also seventh among D3 athletes. Bell's throw of 36.93 meters in the discus was second among D3 athletes (eighth overall), while her 37.19 meter mark in the hammer was fifth in D3 (12th overall). Both of her throws in the disc and hammer placed her in the top 10 in school history for those events. Senior Maddie Schonberg of Centenary had the Ladies' two best finishes on Saturday in their season-opening meet at the Mississippi College Spring Cleaning Classic as she placed 15th in the shot put (9.46m) and 17th in the discus throw (25.14m). Junior Shaunteez-Marie Thomas of Schreiner placed seventh overall at the Trinity Invitational in the shot put with a throw of 11.01 meters.
