SEGUIN, Texas – Behind a pair of first half goals from Kaity Ward, top-seeded Trinity University advanced to its 12th consecutive SCAC Women's Soccer Tournament final with a 4-0 victory over the host school, Texas Lutheran University, on Saturday afternoon at Gustafson Field. HOW IT HAPPENED
- Trinity's Ward opened the scoring with a goal in the 11th minute after Molly Sheridan placed a quality ball into the box from the endline.
- Ward made it 2-0 with her second goal of the match - a nice free kick that found the upper right portion of the net.
- The Tigers added one more goal before the half as Kyra Stafford fired one past the goalkeeper from five yards out off an assist from Lindsey Peng.
- Peng wrapped up the scoring off a corner in the 57th minute.
