KYLEE JACK OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a junior utility player from Richwood, Texas, has been named the SCAC Softball Hitter-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, February 19 through Sunday, February 25. SCAC Softball Release - Week 3

Jack had a career weekend, hitting a scorching .750 with three homers and 10 RBI including a two homer, six RBI performance against UT-Dallas. Jack homered twice and went 3-for-3 with two runs scored and six runs driven in what made for a historic day for the junior utility player. She hit a two-run blast in the first inning and added a three-run shot in the sixth inning. The two-home run performance is the 15th in program history with Serena Gonzalez being responsible for the last occurrence in 2023 while the six RBI performance is the 10th in program history in which one player was responsible for at least six RBI with the last occurrence happening in 2021 with Jack's former TLU teammate Bailey Hudgeons driving in six against Austin College in 2021. Jack also set a program record for total bases in a game with ten. Jack’s efforts help TLU to a perfect 4-0 record last week with doubleheader road sweeps of LeTourneau and UT-Dallas as the Bulldogs improved to 6-0 on the year.

Senior outfielder Mackenzie Cox of Centenary continued her sensational start to the season, lifting the Ladies to doubleheader sweep of Hendrix last week. Cox batted .333 (2-for-7) with seven runs scored, six stolen bases, five walks, one RBI and an impressive .636 on-base percentage. Sophomore catcher Chloe Bennett of St. Thomas was a force at the plate for the Celts this past week posting a .333 average and .917 slugging percentage.
