CADEN BOSANKO OF TEXAS LUTHERAN, a junior quarterback from San Antonio, Texas, has been named the SCAC Football Offensive Player of the Week for games played Saturday, November 9. SCAC Football Release (Week 10)
Bosanko anchored the Bulldogs' offense with his second, four rushing touchdown game of the season. Bosanko leads the SCAC with 13 rushing touchdowns and enters the final week of the regular season three rushing touchdowns shy of David Wehmeyer's single-season TLU rushing touchdown record of 16 set in 1971. Bosanko finished 15-of-26 for 259 yards and a 61-yard passing touchdown.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore quarterback Jess Hoel of McMurry led the War Hawks with 198 yards passing (15-of-23) and 111 rushing yards in Saturday's 28-0 shutout of Lyon College. Hoel accounted for three of the team's touchdowns, rushing for two and passing for another. Sophomore Vance Feuerbacher of Centenary started at quarterback for the first time this season and finished with an impressive 318 yards of total offense against TLU on Saturday. He finished 16-of-32 passing for 248 yards and two touchdowns and was the Gents' leading rusher, finishing with 13 carries for 70 yards and a TD. He ran for a 52-yard TD and threw a 47-yard TD.
