KELLY JURDEN OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a junior outfielder from Brenham, Texas, has been named the SCAC Softball Hitter of the Week for games played from Monday, April 19 through Sunday, April 25.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Freshman outfielder Mackenzie Cox of Centenary led the Ladies at the plate last week, going 8-for-11 (.727) with six stolen bases, two doubles, two runs scored and a .909 slugging percentage. Senior outfielder of Emily Vaclavik of Trinity was an integral part of the Tigers' weekend sweep of Dallas last weekend, hitting .750 in the series with the Crusaders and scoring six runs on seven hits. For the week, the senior outfielder/shortstop posted a line of .692/.714/.769 over four outings, two of which ended via run-rule in the fifth inning.
