BRYLIE NEDD OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a senior outside hitter from Sealy, Texas, has been named the SCAC Volleyball Offensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Tuesday, September 3 through Sunday, September 8. SCAC Volleyball Release (Week 2)
Nedd earned All-Tournament honors after leading the Bulldogs with 37 kills (3.08 kills per set) and nine aces as they swept through the Southwestern Invitational to finish as Co-Champions of the event. The senior, who averaged 4.0 points per set over the weekend, tallied a career-high eight aces against UT-Dallas, finishing one shy of the program record, and also tallied a double-double against the Comets.
Her eight aces against UT-Dallas tied for the third-most in a four-set match in SCAC history.

Junior middle blocker Emily Marks of Southwestern steadied the Pirates on the offensive end throughout the team's four tournament games this weekend. In those four contests, Marks totaled 42 kills, averaging 3.23 kills per set, with a .333 hitting efficiency. Senior right side TJ Folse of Austin College led the 'Roos in kills in all four matches at the Whittier Invitational, finishing the weekend averaging 2.38 per-set while also adding 3.5 digs-per-set, four total blocks, four assists, and a service ace. She reached double-figures in kills, twice, notching 12 against both Pomona-Pitzer and Whittier. Junior outside hitter Audrey Cataline of St. Thomas averaged 3.27 kills and 3.8 points per set while hitting .266 as the Celts posted a 3-1 mark at the East Texas Baptist Invitational. She also added three service aces. First-year outside hitter Brooklynne Fitzgerald of Concordia (Texas) posted a pair of double-doubles with 15 digs and 13 kills against UT Dallas & 15 digs and 11 kills against Pacific Lutheran to earn All-Tournament honors at the Southwestern Invitational. The 15 digs in both matches served as her career high. Fifth-year senior Maddie Fate of Trinity was the catalyst for the Tigers' offense at the East-West Battle over the weekend, recording 20 total kills on a .472 hitting percentage against three top-25 opponents. Against WashU, Fate totaled 10 kills at an astounding .714 (10-14) clip. She also added 10 blocks to finish with 26.5 points on the weekend. Junior outside hitter Carolyn Dormady of Colorado College hit a season-high .450 percentage in CC's 3-0 sweep over Cal Lutheran on Saturday. Sophomore outside hitter Giana Hilliard of Schreiner averaged 2.4 kills per set and hit .244 to lead the Mountaineers to a 2-1 weekend at the Marymount (Va.) Quad. Hilliard also added 32 digs and two blocks.
