Colorado College Rises to Seventh; Trinity Remains 21st in Latest AVCA Division III Top 25 poll

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Colorado College (25-1, 9-1) swept its three matches and the second SCAC Group B Divisional and improved two places to seventh in the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division III Top 25 poll.

Trinity University (21-4, 9-1) went 2-1 on the week, but maintained its No. 21 spot in the same poll.

Colorado College rolled to three impressive 3-0 sweeps with victories over Austin College, Centenary College and the University of Dallas to improve to 25-1 on the season. The Tigers have posted 19 three-set victories this season and have lost just 10 sets all year.

Trinity earned victories over Southwestern (3-0) and Schreiner (3-1) before dropping its first conference match of the season - a 3-2 loss to Texas Lutheran on the Bulldogs' home floor at the second SCAC Group A Divisional. The loss snapped the Tigers 12-match winning streak.

SCAC teams will be playing non-conference matches this week before finishing the conference portion of the schedule Oct. 26-27 at the second SCAC Cross-Divisional on the campus of Austin College.
