MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The Texas Lutheran Offensive Line was named to the D3football.com Team of the Week on Monday after its strong performance in the Bulldogs' 64-41 road win Saturday over East Texas Baptist University.

Vernia), left guard Eddie Scott (Beaumont/Mon.
Kelly Catholic) and left tackle Matt
Hochstrasser (Houston/Cypress Falls) allowed just one
sack in 59 quarterback dropbacks and helped the Bulldogs to a
school-record 701 yards of total offense.
In the win over ETBU, the Bulldogs rushed 52 times for 271 yards
(5.2 yards per carry) and threw the ball 49 times (completing 29)
for 430 yards (14.8 yards per completion).
TLU now leads the NCAA Division III in total offense per game. The
Bulldogs average 622 yards per game. The team averages 58 yards per
game more than the second-ranked team, Heidelberg.
The Bulldogs also rank fifth nationally in passing offense (373.0),
fifth in scoring offense (50 points per game), 20th in team passing
efficiency (159.85 rating), and eighth in time of possession.
Individually, TLU senior quarterback Brent
Peavy (Houston/St. Pius X) is the NCAA Division III
leader in total offense (421.3). Twin brother Cameron (Houston/St.
Pius X) is fourth in DIII in receiving yards per game (151.3) and
sixth in scoring (12.0 points per game).
The Bulldogs play for the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference
Championship this Saturday at 1 p.m. with a home game against
Austin College. TLU has defeated Southwestern (44-14) and Trinity
(42-38) in its first two conference contests.
