LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- The SCAC office today announced the bracket for the 2014 women's tennis tournament, which will be begin Friday, April 25 in San Antonio, Texas. Interactive Bracket | Printable Bracket | Official Tournament Website
The host school, Trinity University, is the top seed for the third consecutive year. The Tigers defeated Southwestern University, 8-1, in last year's title match - the program's second consecutive SCAC championship and 17th overall.
Trinity received a first-round bye and won't play until Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m.
The other six participants open play on Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. The complete schedule is listed below:
Friday, April 25
Match 1: 2 p.m. - #4 Colorado College vs. #5 Texas Lutheran
Match 2: 2 p.m. - #3 Schreiner vs. #6 Austin College
Match 3: 2 p.m. - #2 Southwestern vs. #7 Centenary
Saturday, April 26
Match 4: 2 p.m. - #1 Trinity vs. Winner Match 1
Match 5: 2 p.m. - Winner Match 2 vs. Winner Match 3
Match 6: 8 a.m. - Loser Match 2 vs. Loser Match
Match 7: 2 p.m. - Loser Match 1 vs. Winner Match 6 (5th Place Match)
Sunday, April 27
Match 8: 8 a.m. - Winner Match 4 vs. Winner Match 5 (SCAC Championship)
