Trinity Women Ranked Eighth in NSCAA Preseason Soccer Rankings

KANSAS CITY, Kansas - As the new season draws near, the NSCAA and Continental Tire have released the 2013 College Preseason Rankings for all three levels of the NCAA, the NAIA and the two levels of Junior College.

The Trinity University women's soccer team will enter the 2013 season ranked No. 8 in the country. 

The defending SCAC Champions were 15-1-3 a year ago, earning the program's eighth trip to the NCAA Playoffs in the last nine years. The Tigers knocked off the University of Puget Sound in the First Round before falling to Hardin-Simmons in penalty kicks in the Second Round.

SCAC Player of the Year and Second Team NSCAA and D3soccer.com All-American Emily Jorgens returns to the team for her junior year. She is joined by NSCAA All-Region returners Kelsey Falcone, Shelby Guenthardt, and Kirby Peddicord.

Head Coach Lance Key enters his ninths season as head coach. He is ranked fourth all-time in the nation in winning percentage at .860.
