MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Senior guard Ryan Milne continues to rack up awards, this time being named to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week for his performance from December 30th -January 5th.
Milne, who leads the SCAC in both scoring and assists,
averaged 28.5 points, 5.33 rebounds and 4.67 assists. The senior
guard made 29-of-55 (.527) shots from the floor, including a
12-of-28 (.429) performance from behind the arch, and sank 15-of-18
free throws (.833).
The Phoenix, Ariz., product scored 21 points, grabbed eight
rebounds and dished out four assists to help CC overcome a 14-point
deficit during an 82-75 victory in double overtime at Lehman
College on Dec. 28.
Two days later, he poured in a career-high 38 points, but
the Tigers dropped a 93-90 decision in overtime at Babson College.
During that contest, Milne also recorded four assists to take over
sole possession of second place on the program's all-time chart
with 379.
Last Saturday, Milne posted a game-high 26 points and had
six assists as Colorado
College opened conference play with a 78-66 victory at the University of
Dallas.
Milne, who surpassed the 20-point mark for the fourth game
in a row and the sixth time this season, became the ninth Tiger to
score 1,300 or more career points. He tied his season high with
five 3-point buckets and climbed into sixth place on the program's
all-time list with 181.
He was named SCAC Player of the Week earlier this week for
the third time this season and the eighth time in his
career.
The Tigers play at home for the first time since Dec. 4 when
Austin College and Centenary College visit Reid Arena
for league games this Friday and Sunday, respectively.
