GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference placed three student-athletes on the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) 2014 Division III PING All-Region team, the organization announced.
SCAC champion Schreiner University placed two players on the team. Representing the Mountaineers were first-year Matt McClung and sophomore Phillip Stewart. They were joined on the West Region team by Southwestern University junior Jordan Cowart.
McClung was also named as one of six members of the Division III All-Freshman Team. The six member team is composed of one golfer from each of the six regions in Division III with McClung earning West Region recognition.
