Michael Schuber Appointed Trinity’s Interim Head Swimming Coach

SAN ANTONIO, Texas -
 Trinity University Director of Athletics Bob King announces the appointment of Michael Schuber as the Interim Head Men’s and Women’s Swimming Coach.

A second-year assistant, Coach Schuber assumes the duties while long time Head Coach John Ryan is on extended leave.

Coach Schuber was instrumental in the Tiger men’s and women’s teams capturing the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Swimming and Diving Championships in the spring of 2013. It marked the Tiger women’s 10th consecutive title (13th overall), and the second straight  straight for the men (sixth overall).

Coaches Ryan and Schuber, and Diving Coach Stan Randall were named the SCAC Co-Coaching Staff of the Year.

Before joining the Trinity staff, Coach Schuber was head of The Woodlands Swim Team, a premier club organization in Texas.

He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the University of Hawaii in 2009, and was a varsity swimming letterwinner in 2007 and 2008.
