NORMAN, Okla. - In the latest Golf World/Nike Golf Men's Division III coaches' spring poll, Schreiner University moved up four spots to 21st in the nation while Southwestern University dropped three spots to 22nd.

Sine the last rankings in February, Schreiner has been outstanding, picking up a pair of victories at the Schreiner Spring Shootout as well as the JDG/UT-Dallas Spring Shootout.

In both of those events, Schreiner finished ahead of 13th ranked Concordia (TX) as well as 24th ranked Mary Hardin-Baylor. The Mountaineers also finished ahead of 12th ranked Texas-Tyler in last week's event.

Junior Cheyne Kendall emerged victorious as their home event, shooting a 140 (70-70) during the two day event, junior teammate Zach Oliver finished second with a 142 (73-69). Meanwhile, Oliver shot a 229 (74-83-72) to finish second in Richardson while Kendall followed that up with a 230 (77-77-76) to finish third and freshman Matt McClung finished tied for fourth with a 231 (82-72-77).

Meanwhile, Southwestern only played in one event since the last rankings released, competing in the West Cup this past week where the team took home a fourth play finish. It was a star studded event featuring many top ranked teams as the Pirates finished ahead of No. 14 California Lutheran while finished just behind second ranked Redlands, eighth ranked La Verne, and ninth ranked Claremont-Mudd-Scripps.

Junior Jordan Cowart was impressive in the event, finishing tied for fifth with a total score of 225 in the three day event and scores of 75 in each round.

Trinity University sits two spots outside the Top 25 as they are receiving 22 votes. The Tigers finished fifth at the Schreiner Spring Shootout, 12th at the loaded Jekyll Island Collegiate, and sixth at the West Cup.
