Southwestern trailed in the shot count and had few strong looks at goal. Game two saw a refreshed team take the field and Southwestern got stronger as the game went on against Whittier. Whittier took the lead in the 60th minute and SU had a few opportunities late to tie the game, but their attempts were just off the mark as the game wound down. Southwestern comes home this week to kick off a month long homestand, facing Howard Payne University on Friday at 5pm.
