LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Junior Jamie Gibson of Centenary College has been named the SCAC Men's Golfer of the Week after an outstanding effort this past weekend to lead his team to a victory as well as an individual championship.

JAMIE GIBSON OF CENTENARY COLLEGE, a junior from Barnsley, England, has been selected the SCAC Men's Golfer-of-the-Week for tournaments played through Tuesday, March 18th.
Gibson led the Gents this past weekend at the Christian Brothers University Spring Invitational, taking the team title with a two day score of 584, defeating many Division II programs in the process.
Gibson led the Gents with a score of 145 for the two-day event en route to taking top individual honors. Gibson shot a 70 during the opening round and followed with a 75 on the second to out-swing CBU's Mitchell Bennett and Carter Billingsley by one stroke.
Gibson becomes the first, individual winner this season for the Maroon and White as well as the first team win this season for the Gents, coming off a second place finish in Kerrville just one weekend ago.
