Senior right-hander Anna Scarbrock of Centenary pitched a complete game in the Ladies' season-opening 4-3 win over Millsaps at home on Saturday in nine innings and allowed just two earned runs and a pair of walks with six strikeouts. She faced 37 batters and threw 106 pitches (74 strikes) as she tossed her 21st career complete game. Sophomore right-hander Josephine Koelewyn of Trinity was dominant in the circle on the weekend and in three appearances posted a 1.50 ERA in 9.1 innings of work. Across her innings, Koelewyn only allowed three hits, two runs, and held opponents to a .100 batting average. Against top-ranked ETBU, Koelewyn tossed 4.1 innings and only allowed one hit and two runs. Senior left-hander Morgan Haupt of Ozarks pitched a gem in a 9-0 run rule win over Lyon College on Sunday. Haupt had a no-hitter through 4.1 innings as she retired the side in the first, second and third. In Haupt's shutout win, she fanned eight, gave up just one hit and did not issue a walk. For the week, Haupt went 1-1 in the circle and totaled 12 strikeouts in 10.0 innings of work. Sophomore right-hander Victoria Sossaman of St. Thomas had an impressive performance on the mound, appearing and starting in two games. She pitched a total of 14.0 innings, allowing just 10 hits and four runs, with a solid 2.00 ERA and 1.00 WHIP. Sossaman struck out five batters while limiting opponents to a .208 batting average.
