Junior Morgan Faubion of McMurry went 4-for-12 at the plate in the three-game series against St. Thomas on the road to open up the 2025 campaign. She recorded at-least one hit in all three games, including a pair in game two of the series, highlighted by a triple. She also scored twice, drove in one run and stole one base for the War Hawks. Senior Mack Lucio of Ozarks was outstanding at the plate last week in lifting the Eagles to a three-game sweep over Schreiner to open SCAC play. Lucio hit .600 from the plate (6-for-10), recording at least one hit in every game, highlighted by a 4-for-4 performance in the opener. Additionally, she scored twice, drove in two runs and registered a pair of extra base hits. Junior Kaydence Garza of Southwestern posted a .714 batting average (5-for-7) last week to help the Pirates secure an SCAC opening sweep against Dallas. Garza posted a pair of multi-hit games, scored twice, drove in a run and recorded two extra base hits. First-year Olivia Sanchez of St. Thomas was superb in her SCAC debut, helping the Celts secure a sweep over McMurry at home last weekend. Sanchez 5-for-10 posting a .500 batting average with a double and four RBI. Junior Carsyn Lee of Trinity continued her red-hot start to the season in the Tigers’ sweep over Austin College last weekend. Over three games, she posted a .555 batting average (5-for-9) with a 1.489 OPS, three doubles, two RBI, and five runs scored.
