Seven Teams From SCAC Earn USTFCCCA Women's All-Academic Team Honors

SUWANEE, Ga. - Seven Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) women's track & field teams earned U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic team honors for their collective performances in the classroom and on the track.

Centre College, Colorado College, DePauw University, Hendrix College, Rhodes College, Sewanee: The University of the South and Trinity University were each named to the Division III All-Academic Team list. To make the All-Academic Team list, a team must maintain a cumulative 3.10 or better grade point average (GPA) during the season.

A total of 111 teams earned the honor. The SCAC had the second most teams of any conferene in Division III earn the academic distinction, trailing only the MIAC, which placed eight teams on the list.

Additionally, Colorado College posted the seond highest team GPA (3.60) of any women's team in Division III. The Tigers came in just behind Bridgewater (Va.), which posted a 3.63 team GPA.
