BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Inaugural Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Lacrosse Tournament comes to Birmingham, Ala., and the campus of Birmingham-Southern College. Competition begins on Friday, April 22nd and runs through Sunday, April 24th.
All five teams qualified for the first ever SCAC Women's Lacrosse Tournament with Millsaps and Birmingham-Southern squaring off Friday in the lone quarterfinal match. The winner will advance to face top seeded Sewanee in the semifinals while Centre and Colorado College will be paired in the other semi showdown for the right to play for the conference title.
As a preview to this weekend's action, Russell Kramer, SCAC Director of Communications and New Media, interviewed all five participating head coaches to delve into each team's mindset heading into the 2011 tournament.
