win over Louisiana College on Friday afternoon and then a 4-0 loss
to (NCAA D-II) East Central University on Saturday night. The
Warriors now stand at 1-3 overall. Sophomore forward Rebecca
Rahn led an explosive attack with her first career hat trick in the
Warriors’ lopsided 6-0 victory over Louisiana. Junior
forward Tristan Stolz put Hendrix on the scoreboard on an
unassisted goal in the 16th minute, her second score of the season,
and junior defender Kat Marsh sent a corner kick to the back of the
net three minutes later to make it a 2-0 affair. Rahn scored

sophomore forward Taylor Jackson for a breakaway goal in the 13th
minute to light up the scoreboard. The Tigers earned an own
goal off a corner kick in the 35th minute and then made it a 3-0
affair just 2:56 before halftime on an unassisted goal from first

mark. ECU outshot Hendrix, 20-6, and earned a 7-2 advantage

University on Wednesday and topping 24th ranked Washington &
Lee, 1-0, on Saturday, and Emory & Henry College, 5-1, on
Sunday. Bess Goodman’s goal with seven minutes left in the
first half against Lee knotted the game at one apiece heading into
the half, but it wasn’t enough, as the Tigers gave up a Lee
goal in the second, falling 2-1. But the Tigers rebounded over the
weekend and won a hard-fought battle with W&L on Saturday.

fitness SU’s Jillian Curran scored a goal off of Lindsay
Jakszta’s corner kick near the end of the first half.
Southwestern went into protection mode for the final 20 minutes to
hold the Comets at bay. The Pirates are now 3-1 on the year and
host regional-opponent UC Santa Cruz on Sunday at 1:00.
After suffering the team’s worst loss since the 1994 season
last week, Trinity’s women’s soccer
team bounced back with a pair of road wins this past weekend.
The Tigers won 2-1 in both games this weekend, needing a few extra
minutes to beat UT-Dallas in overtime, then scoring a pair of
second-half goals to beat UT-Tyler on Sunday. Trinity’s home
opener was postponed earlier this week, so the Tigers will open up
the home portion of their schedule against UC-Santa Cruz on Friday
night. The following weekend, Trinity travels to Hendrix and
Rhodes to begin SCAC play.
