ATLANTA, Ga. - Oglethorpe senior forward Todd Ward of New Milford, Conn. became the all-time leading rebounder in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference history on Saturday night when he corralled his 858th career board in the second half of the Petrels' semifinal loss to Centre.

Ward went on to grab two more rebounds on the night to push the all-time mark for rebounding superiority to 860 in a league that is celebrating it's 20th anniversary in 2010-11. Centre's Coy Zerhusen now sits alone in second place in the record books after being eclipsed by Ward.

Ward needed only 97 career games to break Zerhusen's mark which was previously set at 858 in his 108 career games.

Ward also finishes his career in third place all-time in Oglethorpe's record books which includes 95 years of basketball tradition.
