SCAC Places Four On Capital One Academic All-District® Women's Track & Field Teams

SUWANEE, Ga. - The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) placed four women's track & field student-athletes on the 2011 Capital One Academic All-District® Women's Track & Field team as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), the organization announced.

Trinity University placed a trio of student-athleles on the team including Rachel Brady, Sonia Brady and Elana Edwards on the District VI College Division first-team.

Rachel Brady maintains a 3.90 Grade Point Average (GPA) as a senior biolgoy major while her sister Sonia Brady is a senior engineering major and carries a 3.93 GPA. Edwards is a sophomore mathematics major who totals a 3.93 GPA.

DePauw University's Courtney Lauer was named to the District V College Division second team where she maintains a 3.77 GPA as a senior mathematics major.

As first-team Academic All-District® selections, Rachel Brady, Sonia Brady and Edwards advance to the Capital One Academic All-America® Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be selected later this month.
