SHENANDOAH, Texas - The 19th-ranked DePauw men totaled 921 points and won its seventh straight Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Swimming and Diving Championships. Trinity was second with 843 points and Colorado College third with 542. Official championships website
DePauw's 400-yard freestyle relay of Johnny Montgomery, Jack Burgeson, George Morrison and Josh Baugh won in 3:06.78, while Matt Gleason picked up the other win on Saturday by finishing the 200 butterfly in an NCAA "B" time of 1:52.35.
Matt Kukurugya also posted a "B" cut time of 2:04.57 after finishing second in the 200 breast. Montgomery placed third in the 100 free in 46.53 seconds and Cameron Wiethoff rounded out the Tigers' all-SCAC performances with a third-place showing in 1:55.47.
