ATLANTA, Ga. - Oglethorpe University senior
forward Todd Ward of New Milford, Conn., became only the 13th men's
basketball player in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC)
history to score more than 1,000 points and grab over 600 rebounds
for a career in the Petrels 67-50 win over LaGrange on Monday
night.
Having already eclipsed the 600 rebound mark late last season, Ward scored the three points necessary to surpass 1,000 points for his career in the first half on his way to posting 12 points and 11 rebounds on the night.
Ward was named SCAC Rookie of the Year as a freshman and has been selected an All-Conference First Team member after each his sophomore and junior seasons. Prior to the 2010-11 season, Ward was selected by D3hoops.com as a member of the Preseason All-American Honorable Mention Team.
