SCAC has 11 Named to the Academic All-District Football Team

ITHACA, N.Y. - The SCAC had 11 football players named to the ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District teams. Highlighting the SCAC's selections were first-team honorees Kevin Harman, Jonathan Lambert, Austin Light and Will Derrick.

Harman, of Centre College, maintains a grade point average of 3.35 as a Chemical Physics major and was selected to the District Four first-team.

Lambert, of DePauw Univeristy, carries a GPA of 3.57 as a Biology major and was a District Five first-team honoree.

Austin College's Light was selected to the District Six first-team after he carried a 3.76 GPA as a Business Administration major. Also joining Light on the Disctrict Six first-team was Millsaps College's Derrick. Derrick is a Finance major with a 3.58 GPA.

Rhodes placed three student-athletes on the Disctrict Four second-team led by Joey Hollenbeck. Hollenbeck is a Chemistry major with a 3.42 GPA. Teammates Andrew Meier (3.54 GPA - Physics) and Owen Worley (3.91 GPA - Business) also joined Hollenbeck on the second-team.

Adam Hawkins of DePauw was a District Five second-team selection as a Biochemistry major with a 3.45 GPA.

Rounding out the SCAC selections was the Millsaps trio of Ward Coker (3.80 GPA - Pre-medicine), Will Hawkins (3.36 GPA - Geology) and Oliver Galicki (3.60 - GPA Computer Science).

Millsaps led with a league high four selections followed closey by Rhodes' three honorees.
