KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Jordan DeGayner of Colorado College highlighted the second day of action for the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference from the NCAA Championships, swimming a 1:38.72 in the 200-yard freestyle claiming fourth place and all-America honors in the process.
DeGayner passed four competitors during the second half of the 200-yard freestyle on Thursday evening to finish fourth. Earlier in the day the junior set a new SCAC Open and Colorado College school record by swimming a 1:38.64 in the prelims of the event.

The DePauw University men's 200-yard freestyle relay team of
Josh Baugh (senior), John Montgomery (junior), Joe Hessburg
(freshman), and Jack Burgeson (freshman) moved up two places from
prelims, finishing in 14th place with a time of 1:24.09 -
earning the foursome honorable mention all-America honors.

Other highlights from the second day included freshman Clark Weber of Centre with another outstanding performance in her first NCAA Championships meet. Weber swam 1:54.17 to finish 30th in the women's 200-yard freestyle.
The DU Tigers' 400 medley relay of Baugh, Matt Kukurugya (sophomore), Montgomery and Burgeson finished 21st in a time of 3:29.78.
The Colorado College men sit in 25th-place with 15 points while the DePauw men sit in 35th-place with six points after Day Two. On the women's side, Trinity University is in 15th-place with 33 points while Centre stands in 40th-place with one point.
The 2011 NCAA Championships continue through Saturday.
