SAN ANTONIO, Texas - Trinity University senior Hayley Emerick (Portland, Texas/Gregory-Portland), a four-time women’s diving All-American, has been awarded a prestigious $7,500 NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship.

She became the 32nd Tiger student-athlete to earn a Postgraduate Scholarship. Trinity is ranked in the top-10 for Postgraduate Scholarships among NCAA Division III schools.

Emerick, a business administration (marketing) major, will receive her bachelor’s degree from Trinity on May 14. She will join the information technology consulting firm of Cap Gemini in Houston. Emerick has later plans to earn an MBA.

In 2010, Emerick captured the national 3-meter diving title at the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships.

Last March, Emerick went on to the NCAA meet and finished as runner-up on the 1-meter and 3-meter boards.  That made her the first four-time All-American in Trinity diving history.

Emerick was honored by the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference as being named the SCAC Female Diver of the Year for the fourth consecutive time.
