MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Trinity University senior catcher Kyle Felix was named to the 2011 D3baseball.com All-America team, the website announced today. Felix was named to the second-team and was the only player from the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) named to the All-America team.
Felix helped guide the Tigers to their second straight SCAC championship by hitting .365 during the regular season with 13 home runs and 58 RBI. Felix added 23 doubles and scored 49 runs. Of Felix's 62 hits during the regular season, 36 of them went for extra base hits, including 23 doubles.
Felix earned All-SCAC first team honors in 2011. He was also named to the 2011 SCAC Baseball All-Tournament team as well. Felix helped lead Trinity to the NCAA West Regional for the second straight year and for the sixth time in program history. Trinity finished the season 34-13.
