Trinity Women's Soccer's Loar and Azar Earn More All-America Honors

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - Trinity University Tigers Jordan Azar and Abby Loar have been elected to the inaugural D3soccer.com All-America Women's Soccer Team.

Azar and Loar made the All-America Third Team.
 
Earlier, Azar, a senior midfielder, was selected for the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-America Second Team. She was also named to the NSCAA Scholar All-America Team, the All-Region Team, and to the All-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Team.
 
Azar scored five goals (two game-winners) and accounted for two assists during the season.
 
Loar, a junior forward, previously made the NSCAA All-America Third Team, in addition to the Scholar All-America, All-Region, and All-SCAC Teams.
 
She was the Tigers leading scorer, with 16 goals (five game-winners) and 11 assists. Loar's performance earned her the distinction of being named the SCAC Offensive Player of the Year.  Trinity, led by seventh-year head Coach Lance Key, completed the season with an 18-2-0 overall record, and was 10-0-0 in the SCAC. The Tigers captured the SCAC Championship, and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division III playoffs.
