KRISTIN LUCERO OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a freshman from San Antonio, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week for meets ran Monday, October 4 through Sunday, October 10. SCAC Cross Country Release (Week 6)
Lucero led the way for the Bulldogs at the OLLU Invitational finishing 11th in a field of 55 runners, crossing the line of the 6K course in 23:42.0. She was the top SCAC finisher in the meet, with an average mile time of 6:21.4 to help lift TLU to a sixth-place team finish.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Freshman Sarah Endres of Schreiner set a new 6K program record, finishing 16th at the OLLU Invitational last weekend, with a time of 24:20.6. She averaged 6:31.7 per mile. Junior Maia Dykstra of Trinity led the Tigers to a second-place team finish at the OLLU Invite last week after turning in a 13th-place individual performance with a time of 24:10.1.
