LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - All 10 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Volleyball teams were in action this past weekend at the second cross-divisional hosted by Austin College, which was highlighted by Top-10 intraconference match-up between No. 6 Colorado College and No. 8 Trinity.

Trinity (29-4 Overall) went 5-0 on the weekend, which included a 3-0 victory over Colorado College that locked up the number one seed for the upcoming conference tournament.  Even though Colorado College can equal Trinity's 17-1 league mark with a victory over JWU on Friday, better cumulative match results against third-seeded Southwestern (6-1 vs. 6-2) gives the TU Tigers the tie-break edge for seeding purposes.

The TU Tigers hit .306 in the victory over Colorado College, led by Annie Rose Leggett who posted a double-double with a team high of 11 kills while adding 10 digs. Trinity also picked up wins over Centenary (3-0), Dallas (3-0), and Southwestern (3-1) over the weekend, along with victory over Schreiner (3-0) earlier in the week.

Colorado (16-1 SCAC; Overall 28-3) went 3-1 over the weekend earning victories over St. Thomas (3-0), Texas Lutheran (3-1), and Austin College (3-0). The CC Tigers hit a season-high of .459 in the victory against St. Thomas and was led by Jordan Mullen who hit .524 with 12 kills and 11 digs. Colorado College will be the number two seed at the SCAC tournament and can clench a share of the SCAC regular season tie with win over JWU on Friday.

Southwestern (12-6 SCAC; 19-12 Overall) also went 3-1 over the weekend picking ups wins over St. Thomas (3-0), Austin College (3-0), and JWU (3-0). The Pirates hit .304 in the victory over St. Thomas, led by Lauren Crabtreee with 12 kills and Ali Grona with 34 digs. The Pirates have locked up the number three seed at the conference tournament.

Four SCAC Volleyball teams went 2-2 at the cross-divisional over the weekend.

Austin College (15-18 Overall) is now 9-8 in conference with wins over Schreiner (3-0) and Centenary (3-2).  In the five-set win over Centenary, Kynleigh Browne led the 'Roos with 14 kills with Mari Prazak added 19 digs.

Texas Lutheran (18-15 Overall) finishes the regular season 9-9 in conference play after wins over Centenary (3-0) and Schreiner (3-1). The Bulldogs were led by Paige Day in the win over Centenary posting 10 kills while Lexi Morris added 18 digs.

Dallas (8-9 SCAC; 15-18 Overall) earned its split with victories over Texas Lutheran (3-2) and St. Thomas (3-2). In the win over Texas Lutheran, Dayjah Whyte had 15 kills.

Dallas travels to Austin on Tuesday in the final conference match of the season for both teams. If Austin College wins, the 'Roos will be the number four seed, Texas Lutheran would be the five, and Dallas would be the six at the upcoming SCAC conference tournament. A Dallas victory would create a three-way tie in the standings, which would propel the Crusaders to the number four seed in the conference tournament by virtue of a better head-to-head mark with the other two. In that scenario Austin College would be the five seed and Texas Lutheran would be the six.

Schreiner (4-14 SCAC; 9-22 Overall) secured its victories over JWU (3-0) and St. Thomas (3-2). The Mountaineers were led by Jacquelyn Sotello with 12 kills and Giselle Flores with 20 digs in the win over JWU.

In Centenary's (7-11 SCAC; 11-23 Overall) victory over JWU 3-1, Alyssa Davis led the way with 15 kills and 17 digs.

JWU (1-16 SCAC; 3-28 Overall) defeated Dallas 3-2 with Hope Hines and Brooke Paxton leading the way for the Wildcats 20 kills each.

Nine SCAC Volleyball teams continue play this week, highlighted by two last conference matches of the regular season - Dallas at Austin College and JWU at Colorado College

The 2019 SCAC Volleyball tournament is scheduled for Friday, November 8th – Sunday, November 10th and will be hosted at Texas Lutheran University
