LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- The 2020 SCAC women's lacrosse season kicked off with two of the league’s four teams in action this past weekend.
Southwestern opened its 2020 season on the road taking down Hendrix, 16-7, on Saturday, followed by a road loss to Rhodes (20-3) on Sunday. Freshman Emma Pertuit scored the Pirates’ first goal of the season in the first few seconds of Saturday’s match and finished with four goals, five groundballs and one assist. Senior Johnee Wolter added four goals and one assist.
Dallas dropped its season-opener, falling to Huntingdon (13-1) on Saturday. Emily Pauletti netted the lone goal for the Crusaders in the second half. Isabella Flynn and Gabby Dixon added three shots apiece, with Lizz Winkler making nine saves.
SCAC women’s lacrosse action will continue when Southwestern takes on Elmira Monday, February 17.
