LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- The spring portion of the 2020 SCAC women's golf season got underway this past week as two of the league's eight teams were in action.

Schreiner participated in the Camp Bowie Intercollegiate and finished in fourth place. The Mountaineers fired rounds of 368, 357 and 359 to finish at 1084. Senior Reygan Rodriguez posted rounds of 90, 85 and 80 (255, +39) to finish seventh in the 20-player field. Her third round 80 on the Brownswood Country Club course was the third-lowest round of the day.

St. Thomas competed at the Claud Jacobs Invitational, hosted by the University of Houston at Victoria. The Celts took fourth out of six teams with a two-day score of 657. UST was the only NCAA Division III (non-athletic scholarship) team in the field that also included three NAIA programs and two NJCAA Division I junior colleges. UST's Kari Thorn turned in the best round by a Celt on Monday's second round. The senior carded a two-over-par 74, which gave her a two-day score of 157. Thorn ended up finishing tied for 11th place individually.
