LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga.- The second week of the 2019 season saw nine of the league's 10 teams in action with No. 10 Colorado College posting the only undefeated mark of the weekend.

No. 10 CC (7-1) swept through its own Spike It Up Classic, defeating LeTourneau (3-0) and La Verne (3-0) on Friday and Willamette (3-0) and MIT (3-1) on Saturday. The Tigers rallied from a 17-9 deficit in the first set and an 18-12 hole in the second in defeating MIT in the tourney finale. Sophomore outside hitter Isabella Vasquez earned tournament MVP honors after compiling 42 kills (3.23 per set) and a .325 hitting percentage over the four matches.

Both Austin College (3-5) and University of Dallas (3-5) rebounded from winless opening weekends to post 3-1 marks in their respective tournament action. Playing on their home court for the second consecutive weekend, the 'Roos picked up victories against Paul Quinn (3-0) and Sul Ross State (3-0) on Friday, and then split a pair of matches the following day – falling to Sul Ross State (3-2) before ending the weekend with a victory over Howard Payne (3-0).

At the Millsaps/Belhaven Invitational, Dallas swept both East Texas Baptist (3-2) and Belhaven (3-1) on Friday, and then split matches on Saturday – losing to Huntingdon (3-1) before posting a come-from-hind victory against Central Baptist (3-2) to close out the weekend.

The Pirates struggled to keep the momentum going on Saturday, falling to Aurora and the host school UT-Dallas – both in four sets. After falling to the host school UT-Dallas (3-1) and No. 23 Pacific Lutheran (3-2) on Friday, the Tigers rebounded the following day with a pair of victories over Pomona-Pitzer (3-1) and Aurora (3-0) with the latter being a rematch from last year’s first-round NCAA tournament.
