COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. --
Lesley Irvine, Vice President and Director of Athletics at Colorado College, announced today that Andy Partee has resigned as head coach of the men's basketball program to pursue other professional opportunities.

Partee guided the Tigers to a 148-209 record during his 14-year tenure at Colorado College, including an 8-16 mark this past season.

Prior to the 2018-19 campaign, he led CC to double-digit victories in nine consecutive seasons. That stretch produced five consecutive trips to the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference tournament, including back-to-back appearances in the championship game.

"I want to thank Andy for his 14 years of service to the department and our student-athletes,” Irvine said. “We thank him for his commitment to the game of basketball and wish him well in his future endeavors.”

Partee came to Colorado College from Brown University, where he served as an assistant coach since June 1998, coordinating national recruiting efforts and helping guide the Bears to three runner-up finishes in the Ivy League.

“I want to thank Colorado College for the honor and privilege of serving as the men’s basketball coach,” Partee said. “My time as a member of the Tiger family includes some of the most memorable and rewarding experiences in my 28 years at the college level.”

A national search for a new head coach will begin immediately.
