LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- Trinity junior Keaton Holt has been elected to the 2020 NCAA Division III Academic All-District 8 Men's Track & Field/Cross Country Team.

Selected by members of College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), student-athletes are honored for their prowess on the field and in the classroom. Holt is now eligible for selection to the Academic All-America Team, to be announced June 23.

A physics major with a 4.00 grade point average, Holt was presented the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Men's Cross Country Elite 19 Award last November at the SCAC Cross Country Championships at Widefield, Colorado. The Portland, Oregon, resident earned the award for academic and athletic achievements. Holt placed ninth in the championship event for All-SCAC kudos, receiving the accolade for the second consecutive year.

In January, Holt was tabbed for the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team honors for the second year in a row. Recipients must have at least a GPA of 3.30 and finished in the top-25 percent of their Regional meet. Holt placed 54th at the 2019 NCAA Division III Cross Country South/Southeast Regional at Memphis, Tennessee.

Holt has also earned Trinity Dean's List honors this Spring, and he is a member of the SCAC Academic Honor Roll for both cross country and track & field.
