IRVING, Texas – The University of Dallas has announced hiring Kaitlin Cochran as the next women's lacrosse head coach. Cochran becomes the ninth coach to lead the program at Dallas and replaces Destinee Johnson who accepted another coaching position and ends her tenure on January 3. Cochran will be on campus on Monday, January 6.

Cochran previously worked at NAIA Life University in Marietta Georgia as a Volunteer Assistant Coach.

Cochran played collegiately with NCAA Division III Transylvania University. The Pioneers claimed their first postseason berth in the program's third season (2015) of existence with a trip to the Ohio River Lacrosse Conference (ORLC) semifinals. They surged to a strong conference record in their first ORLC season with five straight victories in April. Cochran posted four goals, six ground balls, two draw controls, and one caused turnover that season.

Over the 2018 summer Cochran traveled to Los Angeles, California, where she served as the Program Director Intern with Harlem Lacrosse LA.

Dallas will begin the 2020 season on February 8 at Huntingdon College. The home opener for the Crusaders is Feb. 19 against Elmira College.
