COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Colorado College senior goaltender Andrew Harwood capped his stellar four-year career by earning honorable-mention All-America accolades from Inside Lacrosse.
Harwood, who posted a 6-0 record, finished the abbreviated 2020 season ranked fifth nationally with a 5.24 goals-against average and sixth with a 0.682 saves percentage.
"This is a cool honor for Andrew and well deserved," head coach Sean Woods said. "He proved to be one of the best goalies in the country game after game. There is no goalie in Division III that I'd rather have between the pipes for us."
Harwood was named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the first time after allowing just six goals during road wins at Sewanee (14-4) and Berry College (18-4). He scored the honor for the second time after giving up only three goals in 45 minutes during the 17-5 victory over Aurora University.
In what proved to be the final game of his career, Harwood made a season-high 16 saves in the 14-10 win over Baldwin Wallace University, his 25th game with double-digit saves.
The four-year starter finished his career with a 9.75 GAA and a .545 saves percentage.
"Andrew was one of our best leaders this year," Woods said. "It was great to see him grow as a player and a leader throughout his four seasons at Colorado College."
