LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- It was an abbreviated week of action for Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference men’s lacrosse teams with only two of the league’s five teams competing. Four matches (two each scheduled for Thursday and Friday) were cancelled due toconcerns related to the outbreak of the coronavirus.
Colorado College (6-0) had 14-10 victory over Baldwin Wallace on Thursday. Coby Petau and Max Rieser combined for seven goals and a pair of assists while Cooper Lee posted a game-high five ground balls and three turnovers. Goalkeeper Andrew Harwood recorded a season-high 16 saves for the Tigers.
Dallas (0-4) suffered a loss to Franciscan (13-9) on Tuesday. Austin Gibbons scored a season and team-high five goals. J.P. Hasson and Tucker Jameson each had three points with two goals and an assist. Jameson earned six ground balls and Hasson took 15 shots.
No additional play is on tap for the immediate future as, following a meeting of the league's President's Council and in response to the outbreak of COVID-19, the SCAC made the decision on Thursday to indefinitely suspend all regular season conference and non-conference competition effective Monday, March 16.
