LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -
The seeds and pairings are now set for the 2019 SCAC Men’s Soccer Tournament following the completion of the regular season schedule on Sunday. Conference tournament seeding was based on Points Percentage, which is defined by the total points accumulated by a team divided by the total possible points a team could have accumulated based on actual games played.

Colorado College won its first-ever SCAC regular season title - finishing 8-1-0 in league play and good for a .889 points percentage - after defeating Johnson & Wales, 6-0, on Friday. After locking up the top seed for this weekend's conference tournament, the Tigers now shift their focus to attaining the program's first-ever SCAC tournament crown. In Colorado College's nine previous post-season appearances, the Tigers have been the second-seed five times and third-seed three others and last appeared in the title game in 2016.

As the top seed of this year's event, CC will receive a bye and await the winner of Friday's quarterfinal contest between fourth-seeded Southwestern and fifth-seeded Austin College.

Southwestern locked down the fourth-seed, finishing the regular season with a 4-4-1 conference mark and a .481 points percentage, after splitting games this past weekend against St. Thomas (2-0 loss) and Centenary (3-1 win). The Pirates made their third title game apperance in program history last season, falling to Trinity in penalty kicks on their home field.

Austin College picked up a big 2-0 victory over Trinity on Sunday to clinch its spot in this year's tournament field as the fifth seed. The win over Trinity snapped a 27-match losing streak to the Tigers (including postseason play) and was the program's first victory against Trinity since September 23, 1992. Austin College finished the regular season with a 3-5-0 mark for a .375 points percentage and will be making its fourth straight postseason apperance.

In their lone matchup this season, Southwestern defeated Austin College 3-1 on Oct. 6., in Georgetown.

On the other side of the bracket, Texas Lutheran , with two big victories of its own this past weekend, earned the No. 2 seed for this weekend's tournament. The second-place regular season finish is the best for the program since joining the conference prior to the 2013 season. The Bulldogs went on the road on Friday and Sunday to defeat Centenary (6-1) and St. Thomas (2-1), respectively, to finish with a 7-2 conference mark and a .778 points percentage.

As the second seed, Texas Lutheran receives a bye into Saturday's semifinal round and will take on the winner of third-seeded Trinity and sixth-seeded University of Dallas.

After having earned the top seed for eight consecutive years, Trinity finds itself in an unfamiliar role as the third seed entering this year's championship event. After splitting games this weekend against Dallas (5-1 win) and Austin College, the Tigers finished the regular season with a 6-3 conference mark for a .667 points percentage.

Dallas will enter this year's tournament as the No. 6 seed, finishing the regular season with a 3-5-1 conference mark and a .370 points percentage. The Crusaders clinched their berth with a 3-1 victory over Schreiner on Sunday. This marks the sixth straight year Dallas has qualified for the SCAC tournament, which includes a title game appearance in 2017.

Friday's quaretrfinal contest marks the third contest between Trinity and Dallas this season. In addition to this past weekend's pairing in San Antonio, Trinity defeated Dallas, 6-0, on Sept. 22, in a non-conference matchup in Irving.

The 2019 SCAC Men’s Soccer Tournament gets underway Friday, November 8 at Trinity University with the first quarterfinal match set to kick at 11:00 AM CST and the second scheduled for 1:30 PM CST. The tournament winner receives the SCAC’s automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament. For additional information related to this year's championship, click here.
