NORMAN, Okla. -- Southwestern University senior Cade Osgood and Trinity University freshman Daniel Nunez were both named to the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) 2020 Division III PING All-West Region Team it was announced Wednesday afternoon. Complete GCAA Release
This is Osgood's third consecutive All-Region season with the previous two years ending in All-American honors.
Osgood wrapped up his collegiate career ranked No. 6 in the nation and second in the West Region, finishing with an average score of 71.62 through 13 rounds for a plus-0.08 versus par, recording the best individual season scoring average in school history.
The Pirates finished ranked No. 12 in the nation in the final GCAA poll.
Nunez made his mark on Trinity golf by winning two titles in the shortened season. Nunez started the campaign by winning the John Bohmann Memorial in Seguin, Texas, in September. His victory marked the first individual win for a Trinity men's golfer since October 2017. Nunez won his second title at the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Preview in March at Blanco, Texas.
Nunez finished the John Bohmann Memorial with a 3-under-par 210. He brought home first place at the SCAC Conference Preview by shooting a 3-under 141. Nunez was named SCAC Men's Golfer of the Week after each of his victories.
